Weather systems continue to heavily impact Florida. Long-term recovery is becoming increasingly critical, along with creating cross-collaborative response plans – bringing agencies, nonprofits, and businesses together to ensure that Florida is prepared to respond to the next disaster.
Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) successfully held the first Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference in Orlando in 2022. The day was filled with educational and meaningful presentations and the opportunity to interact with other disaster specialists, responders and community partners who support survivors and their communities.
LSNF is excited to bring the Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference back to Orlando in April 2026.
This conference aims to provide a network between first responders, government and non-government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community partners closely tied with disaster response so that we can best inform each other and survivors about the services we each provide. LSNF seeks to bridge the gap between conventional disaster response and preparedness and the use of legal solutions to respond to issues and challenges that follow natural disasters. To accomplish these goals the Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference will emphasize:
